Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Leonardo Cake

Yes, that is my now 29 year old brother in the middle picture! He keeps complaining that you can't tell how big my cakes are because there is nothing for scale, so I used his head! This was a pretty fun cake to make, and I'd love to make all of them for someone's birthday party someday and have all 4 lined up in a row! That would be super epic!

Ninjago Birthday Cake

Apparently, Ninjago is this lego thing that is very popular right now among young boys. I know far more about it now than I did a couple of weeks ago, that is for sure! The building of this cake is made out of rice crispy treats and the cake is chocolate with salted caramel swiss buttercream filling. Overall, not too bad for my first building, I was pretty happy with it!

First Communion Cake

A gigantor cake for a first communion. This cake actually had some very special flavors - the top was a gluten free vanilla, the second was vanilla with chocolate icing, the third was a dense almond cake with raspberry filling and the bottom was a chocolate amaretto cake with a cherry bourbon filling. On the cake was a rosary, a communion wafer, grapes, wheat, a sprinkling of flowers and a gold-painted communion cup!
