Purple Flower Birthday Cake!

This cake was for an art teacher, so I knew it had to be pretty! I was happy with the modern/beautiful vibe of it!

Feeds 40, $85.00

Magic Treehouse Birthday Cake

So the worse the pictures, the worse the weather outside. Rainy days make for shadow-y pictures. Don't worry. I'm going to make a lightbox someday. Oh, and get a good camera! YAY!

Anyways, this cake is awesome. Don't lie. Its pretty epic and I dare you to think any differnt. Those are like 300 hand cut and veined tree leaves atop a hand wood-grained treehouse (with non-edible characters) atop a (non edible for structural purposes) treetrunk with a rope and fondant ladder atop a grassy treetop. Yeah, its awesome. Yes, it was outside my comfort zone. And yes, I am glad I did it because I think it turned out great.

This cake would probably feed around 50? Its hard to say because I had to cut so much cake out and shape it, but that is my guess! $160.00 because of all the epic details!

Bird House Baby Shower Cake!

Pink and sage green - two of my fav colors! Add in some hand wood-grain and a bird along with some flowers and we go it made!
Feeds 30. $75

Tones of Teal

An ombre bridal shower cake!
Feeds about 40, $85.00

Argyle Owl 2nd Birthday Cake!

Things I love about this cake: 1- It has ARGYLE! 2- The awesomness of the owl sitting on the branch 3- That we took pics in the car b/c I was slightly behind (that piping took for-ev-er!).

Feed about a million (okay, maybe more like 45-50). The owl is made of Rice Crispy Treats! Cost: 175

Cute as a button Babyshower Cake

Another babyshower cake! Thanks to Melissa Fullmer Photography for the beautiful shots! I wish I could have a pro take ALL my pictures! And I finally got to take an inside shot of what goes into my cakes! This is one of the tiers, which was a white cake with raspeberry filling. The others were different flavors. A plain o' inside cake like this will run around $200 and feeds around 75.

Animal Print Boy Baby-shower Cake

Apparently, everyone is having a baby these days! I've been doing a TON of shower cakes! This is a great little cake for all your friends to enjoy whilst telling you how adorable you are pregnant! 50 servings. $110.

Harry Potter Sorting Hat, Wand Cake!

So for those of you who don't know me very well, I am a MASSIVE Harry Potter fan. I read the books (yes, all of them) every year in Jan and I can quote potter lore with the best of them. So imagine my excitement when I was asked to make a Harry Potter cake... and that is all the instruction I got! I scoured the internet for hours looking for the perfect parts of lots of cake to incorporate into my own. I think I did a pretty good job! This cake is 99% edible - there is a skewer through the middle of the wand just for the purposes of making it look right. Even the sorting hat is made of cake!

Feeds about 45, $100.

NASA cake

My friend's boyfriend is obsessed with NASA. This cake was a surprise for his birthday! Its a brown butter cake with pineapple lime filling and coconut Italian buttercream icing (under the fondant!) Feeds 40.
As is, with the flavors and fillings, $100 for this cake.

Pink Roses Cake

I was asked to make a cake that was all things pink for a little girl's birthday. I did as directed! There are about 200 roses on this cake, by my count. Rolling roses is fun!

Feeds around 60 (its 4 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch tiers). $145.

1st birthday jungle/animal cake!

Can I mention how much I love all my animals on this cake? They took me a WHILE to do, but I think they are totally worth it! My favorite little guy is the zebra!
Cake feeds 65, priced at $150 because of all the detail work!

Cupcakes don't get featured here much on the blog, but I actually make as many, if not MORE of them than I do cakes. These are fancy-fied piped ones (which is why I took a picture), but usually I do plain swirly icing with sprinkles. I do, however, fill my cupcakes with delicious things if requested, and believe me, you want to request! These cupcakes are filled and specially frosted, so they would be $24 a dozen!

Buttercream Birthday Cake!

I really need to learn how to photograph my cakes better! This looked so much prettier in person!

This awesome woman who ordered this said she was sick and tired of her husband getting her terrible birthday cakes - so this year she was ordering her own! This is a 9 inch round, and feeds about 30, unless you are doing massive pieces, then it feeds about 20. $45.

Modern Boy Baby Shower Cake.

This cake was for my good college friend and co-worker, who had her baby a month early and left me high-and dry and the only person in our dept! :-) I will forgiver her though, since lil Jude is such a peach.

The bottom tier of this is actually a dummy (ie Fake Cake) but as is, it will feed about 45.
$125 with the dummy, $175 with real cake as the bottom tier (feeds about 80).

Spiderman Birthday Cake

My very first Topsy-Turvy cake! I really need to start putting something for scale in these pics, because this is a pretty large and in charge cake. It is vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream!
When I went to deliver this cake, Blake, the birthday boy, asked me if I wanted to see his room. Of course I did. The walls were covered in what else? Spiderman! Needless to say, he loved his cake! I loved trying out a new technique! I am excited to take what I learned from this cake and use it on the next one!

$150 for this cake, feeds around 60 people.

Ron Weasley Cake

If anyone can guess what all 11 cupcakes toppers are in relation to Mr. Roonil Wazlib, you shall get $10 off your order!
This is a funfetti cake  and cupcakes with vanilla buttercream funfetti icing! (all homemade!)
$60 for the set!(Cake + Cupcakes = 25 servings)

Puppy Dog Cupcakes

One dozen puppy dog cupcakes. Unfilled vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing and fondant toppers with raisnette noses! $24! (they want to come home with you!)

Lego Cake

So, this is me (probably one of the only pics you will see of me on here)! With my best bud Drew. It was his birthday, so I made him a cake!
If its YOUR birthday, and you want this cake, it'll be $30 bucks! Feeds about 15. But for Drew, it cost a hug and a kiss. I think I made my biggest profit EVER!

Apparently Black & Red are really popular wedding colors!
